Charlie Collins

Charles Collins, Ed.D., is Deputy Executive Director of Workforce Training for the Maine Community College System (MCCS) Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce. Charlie provides management for Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce and the Maine Quality Center (MQC) projects. Charlie develops business leads/connections and provides operational management to several workforce initiatives through collaborations with employers, trades associations, and other training partners. In his current position, he provides leadership; strategic and budget planning; and continual research on best practices for industry training and professional development. With more than 30 years of leadership experience within MCCS, Charlie has served as Associate Academic Dean and Director for Workforce Development at SMCC. From 2006 to 2013, he served as the State Director for the Maine Community College System (MCCS) Early College for ME program.
